Section 29(1) in The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab Act, 2006
(1)The first Statutes of the University shall be made by the Vice-Chancellor with the approval of the Chancellor. They shall be placed before the General Council in its first meeting, which may adopt them with or without modifications. Subsequent statutes or modifications in the statutes shall be made by the General Council.
