Seventeenth Loksabha an> Title : Regarding expediting Tindivanam-Tiruvannamalai new broad gauge railway line project work -laid.
SHRI C. N. ANNADURAI (TIRUVANNAMALAI): I want to raise an urgent matter of public importance regarding speeding up of Tindivanam - Tiruvannamalai new broad gauge railway line project work. The Project would enhance overall area development on account of potential for spiritual tourism as world famous Lord Arunachaleshwar Shiva Temple in Tiruvannamalai attracts domestic as well as international tourists for Darshan of Lord Shiva and Girivalam.
The said project, commenced long back but unfortunately suffered from time-overrun. I request the Government to earmark sufficient fund for the project and approach all the concerned agencies for expediting the project work for timely completion of Tiruvannamalai new broad gauge railway line project.
I earnestly request the Minister for the Railways to take all necessary action to ensure completion of the said project without further delay in the public interest.
