(2)Except as provided in sub-section (1), the Insurance Act, 1938, shall not apply to any co-operative society of [transport vehicle] [Substituted by Act 58 of 1960, section 3 and Schedule II, for 'public service vehicle'.] owners allowed to transact the business of an insurer under this section.
