ORDER
1. Perused the report of learned Registrar dated 28.11.2023 on a complaint dated 16.11.2023 made by one Dr. Pramod Bhalerao, R/o Prabhag No.22, Ramayan Nagar, New Town Badnera, District Amravati against Amravati Municipal Corporation ("AMC", for short), alleging that the AMC has undertaken construction activity at public garden at Survey No.195/1, Mouj Badnera Prabhag No.1, Amravati, which is used by public for Yoga and Meditation purposes. The AMC has removed the caretaker of the garden who used to take care of the garden and construction activity has been permitted without taking opinion of the local residents. Not only this, they have also cut large number of trees regarding which four complaints were made on the dates which are mentioned in this complaint letter, but no action was taken by the authorities.
2. Considering the facts stated in the complaint, we deem it appropriate to call for a report from the Commissioner, Amravati Municipal Corporation as to the truthfulness of the contents of the aforesaid complaint and the action taken at their end, if any, within four weeks.
3. This report shall be submitted by the Commissioner, Amravati Municipal Corporation by e-mail at [email protected] preferably in the form of searchable PDF/OCR Support PDF and not in the form of Image PDC, within a period of four weeks.

4. A copy of this order along with the copy of complaint be sent to the above mentioned Authority i.e. the Commissioner, Amravati Municipal Corporation for compliance as above.
5. The Registry is directed to register this Letter Petition as Original Application.
