(1)The Assistant Surgeon or Sub Assistant Surgeon attached to the District or the Sub Division shall, if competent and his other duties permit, be appointed to be the Additional Medical Officer of the Subsidiary Jail.(2)Should the services of this office not be available, other local arrangements with the approval of the Inspector-General shall be made.
