In section 245G of the Income-tax Act, after the first proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted and shall be deemed to have been inserted with effect from the 1st day of February, 2021, namely:––“Provided further that on or after the 1st day of February, 2021, functions of the Settlement Commission under this section shall be performed by the Interim Board and the provisions of this section shall mutatis mutandis apply to Interim Board as they apply to the Settlement Commission.”.
