82. Powers of Collector and Commissioner on inquiry and appeal. -
In any inquiry or appeal held under this Act, the Collector and the Commissioner shall respectively have the same powers as those conferred on Courts by the Code of Civil Procedure, [1908,] [Figures inserted by Bengal Act 1 of 1939.] of summoning and examining witnesses and compelling the production of documents.
