State of Goa - Subsection

Section 28(1) in The First Statutes of Indian Institute of Technology Goa, 2017

(1)The Senate may by a special resolution passed by a majority of not less than two-thirds of the members present and voting, recommend to the Board, the withdrawal of any degree or academic distinction conferred on or any certificate or diploma granted, to any person by the Institute for good and sufficient reason :Provided that no such resolution shall be passed until a notice in writing has been given to that person calling upon him to show cause within such time as may be specified in the notice why such resolution should not be passed and until his objection, if any, and any evidence he may produce in support of them, have been considered by the Senate.
