Section 7(1)(a) in The Tamil Nadu Beedi Industrial Premises (Regulation of Conditions of Work) Act, 1958

(a)to make such examination and hold such enquiry as may be necessary for ascertaining whether the provisions of this Act have been and are being complied with in any place or premises,
