Section 2(d) in Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies Act, 2010
(d)"Extension education" means the educational activities concerned with Fisheries and Ocean Studies and training of fishermen, fish farmers and other groups serving fishing in modern fish farming practices and the various phases of scientific technology related to fisheries and fish production, processing and marketing and includes demonstration to carry out the new technology and innovation through colleges, schools and regional centres concerned with the subject mater of demonstration;
