Section 20(2) in Model Rules, 2011 under Bengal Ferries Act, 1885
(2)In case of Sinking of boat due to accidents or otherwise the boat owner or operating personnel shall immediately report the matter to the concerned authority /Police. The boat owner shall also take immediate steps within a reasonable time for salvaging the boat.
