Section 490 in The Maharashtra Municipal Corporations Act, 1949
490. Certain Acts to cease to apply to City. - The Bombay District Municipal Act, 1901, the Bombay Municipal Boroughs Act, 1925, and the Bombay Village Panchayats Act, 1933, shall cease to apply, except as hereinafter provided, to any area included in the City.
