Section 55(2) in New Town, Kolkata Development Authority Act, 2007
(2)Any person, who destroys pulls down or defaces any such name or number of a public street or number or sub-number of any premises or part thereof or puts up any name, number or sub-number different from that determined by the Development Authority, or any owner of any premises or part thereof who does not, on being so required, put up at his own expenses such number or sub-number of such premises or part thereof, shall, on conviction, be punished with a fine Which may extend to one hundred rupees:private street
