Section 17A(vii) in The Control and Management of Ferries Rules, 1968
(vii)that the ferry will ply by day only, but Director retains the right to order plying the ferry at night if it should become necessary under any special circumstances, the number of such night journeys and timings to be fixed by the Director or any other officer deputed by him;
