Section 416 in Bihar Board's Miscellaneous Rules, 1958

416. Payment of carriage on arrival at destination or at exchanging station.

- On arrival at an exchanging station or at destination, the carriage will be released at once and paid off by the Indian Army Service Corps, if there is one, otherwise, by an officer of the marching unit in the presence of the Civil Officer attached to the troops, the acquittance roll being signed by both in token that every cartman and cooly has been paid up in full. The acquittance roll will then be countersigned by the Officer Commanding. Any dispute will be referred to, and settled by the police or other officer deputed to attend the troops by the District Officer having jurisdiction at the place, at which the transport is released.
