This appeal is preferred by the assessee against the order of the Commissioner (Appeals) Chandigarh dated 16.10.2008 partly allowing the assessees appeal preferred against the adjudication order dated 30.04.2008 passed by Joint Commissioner, Central Excise, Chandigarh. This appeal alongwith connected Service Tax Appeal No. 7 of 2009 preferred by the Revenue was listed for hearing on 27.06.2013. The appeal was adjourned at the request of the ld. Counsel for the appellant to 17.07.2013. On 17.07.2013, in the presence of the Counsel for the appellant Shri Vikrant Kackria, as the appealt did not come up for hearing, the matter was adjourned to this date. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing there is no representation on behalf of the appellant. Hence the appeal is dismissed for default.
