Information sought

:

The Appellant sought details of candidates called for filling of (i) semi skilled posts from 2004 to 2010, (II) Ex - Trade Apprentices posts from 2001 to 2010 and Electrician Posts from 2000 to 2010.
Grounds for the Second Appeal:
The CPIO has not provided the desired information.
Relevant Facts emerging during Hearing: The following were present:-
Appellant: Present through VC.

Respondent: Hagetari, JGM & PIO, Ordnance Factory Board, Katni present through VC.
Appellant stated that he was informed by the CPIO that collection and collation of the information will disproportionately divert the resources of public authority.
PIO submitted that FAA had ordered an adequate opportunity to the Appellant to inspect relevant records however, the same remains to be availed till date.
Appellant at this stage stated that he went for inspection of relevant records on three occasions but was not provided the opportunity for the same.
Decision In view of the contesting claims of both parties, Commission directs the CPIO to provide an opportunity to the Appellant to inspect relevant records on a mutually decided date and time duly intimated to the Appellant telephonically and in writing. Copy of documents, if desired, should be provided to the Appellant without charging prescribed fees. The said direction should be complied within 15 days of receipt of this order and a compliance report of the same be duly sent to the Commission by the CPIO.
The appeal is disposed of accordingly.
