If the name, father's name and caste of the person sentenced which are given in the copy, certificate or warrant, tally with those claimed by the accused under trial, the agreement may be treated as a circumstance appearing in the evidence against him which he should be called upon under Section 342 of the Code to explain. If on examination he denies his identity with the person described in the document, it will be necessary to call a witness or witnesses having personal knowledge that the accused has been previously convicted.
