The petitioner was working as Technical Assistant in Punjab State Warehousing Corporation and posted at State Warehouse, Kapurthala. He was later promoted as Warehouse Manager.

In relation to his tenure as Warehouse Manager, he was issued a charge-sheet. Enquiry Officer was appointed and on the culmination of the enquiry proceedings, his services were terminated vide order dated 15.11.2013. Against the said order, the petitioner has preferred a statutory appeal before the Appellate Authority, which he states was filed within the prescribed time limit. However, the said appeal has not yet been decided.

The petitioner has served a legal notice (Annexure P-4) seeking early disposal of his appeal.

In the above circumstances, without commenting on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to take a decision on the legal notice (Annexure P-4) expeditiously, preferably within three months.
