Section 65 in The M.P. Shops and Establishments Act, 1958
65. Repeal.
- As from the date appointed under sub-section (3) of Section 1, the enactments specified in Schedule II shall stand repealed :Provided that-(a)every appointment, order, rule, bye-law, regulation, notification, or notice made, issued or given under the provisions of any enactment shall in so far as is not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, be deemed to have been made, issued or given under the provisions of this Act, unless and until superseded by any appointment, order, rule, bye-law, regulation, notification or notice made, issued or given under this Act;(b)any proceeding relating to the trial of any of offence punishable under the provisions of any enactment so repealed shall be continued and completed as if such enactment had not been repealed but had continued in operation and any penalty imposed in such proceedings shall be recovered under the enactment so repealed.
