Section 31A(1) in The Chhattisgarh Panchayat Nirvachan Niyam, 1995
(1)Under sub rule (1) of Rule 32, self-declaration signed by the candidate for the post of Sarpanch and affidavit signed by the candidate to be the Member of Janpad Panchayat and Zila Panchayat shall be submitted to the Returning officer, alongwith nomination formBut the candidates for the post of "Panch" of any Gram Panchayat shall not be required to submit self - declaration or affidavit.
