FACTS
Vide RTI dt 8.8.12, appellant had sought information on 16 points.
2. CPIO/ITO Ward 27(2) vide letter dt 11.10.12, provided a response, CPIO/Under Secretary(V&L) provided a response vide letter dt 18.10.12 and CPIO/ITO Circle 40(1) provided a response vide letter dt 25.10.12.
3. An appeal was filed on 6.11.12.
4. AA vide order dt 24.12.12, directed CPIO/ACIT 40(1) to provide information in respect of queries relating to his office and to take immediate action to redress the grievance of the assessee regarding non receipt of refund of Rs 46178.
5. Submissions made by the appellant and public authority were heard. Appellant submitted that he is not satisfied with the response to query no.13 and 15 which relate to refund of Rs 46178. CPIO submitted that in pursuance of the FAA's order a letter has been issued on 15.1.13 to ITO Ward 41(4), asking him to transfer the PAN to Circle 40(1).
DECISION 1
6. The Commission directs the CPIO to expedite the case as had been mentioned by the FAA vide his order dt 24.12.12.
The appeal is disposed of.
