Section 16(2) in The Chennai Corporation (Superior) Service Pension Rules, 1970
(2)If an officer is transferred to a non-qualifying appointment in the interest of the public service and under orders of a competent authority, he shall be entitled to a compensation pension if discharged on abolition of that appointment.
