1. Rule. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor waives service of notice of rule on behalf of the respondent­State.

2. This is an application for extension of the temporary bail earlier granted by this Court vide order dated 14/02/2019 in Criminal Misc.

Application No.1 of 2019 in Criminal Appeal No.681 of 2018. The extension of the temporary bail is prayed for on the ground of sickness of his mother, who is suffering from typhoid.

3. Having heard the learned APP appearing for the State and having gone through the materials on record, we are persuaded to exercise our discretion in favour of the applicant­convict.

4. Taking into consideration the ground urged in this application, the temporary bail earlier granted by this Court vide order dated 14/02/2019 is extended by a further period of eight days on usual terms and conditions.

5. The applicant­convict shall surrender himself to the jail authority on or before the expiry of the above temporary bail period, without fail.

Rule is made absolute to the aforesaid extent. Direct service is permitted.

The Registry shall take necessary steps to communicate this order to the concerned jail authority.
