The instructions in Rule 335 above do not apply to deserters from the Indian Army. The procedure governing these persons will be found in Section 123 of the Indian Army Act (VIII of 1911). A similar procedure, given in Section 61 of the Indian Air Force Act (XIV of 1932), applies to deserters from the Indian Air Force.
