Section 3 in Tamil Nadu Fisheries University Act, 2012
3. Establishment of University.
(1)For the development of Fisheries and for furthering the advancement of learning and prosecution of research in Fisheries Sciences, on and from the appointed date, there shall be established a University by the name, the Tamil Nadu Fisheries University.(2)The University shall be a body corporate, shall have perpetual succession and a common seal and shall sue and be sued by the said name.(3)The principal seat of the University shall be located within the limits of Nagapattinam Taluk.
