Section 100(1)(vii) in Punjab Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 1952

(vii)The licensee shall ensure that on every ticket which any booking clerk issues for any video shows a separate seat number is marked. The purchaser of the ticket shall be entitled to occupy the seat bearing the serial number marked on the ticket. The serial number of the seat shall be marked on that portion of the ticket which is to be retained by the purchaser so that it can be produced for inspection in case of any doubt or on demand.
