Section 10(1) in The Gujarat Universities Services Tribunal Act, 1983
(1)For the purpose of exercising its jurisdiction under this Act, the Tribunal shall have same powers as are vested in a Civil Court under the Code of Civil Procedure 1908 (V of 1908) in respect of the following matters namely:-(a)summoning and enforcing the attendance of any person and examining on oath;(b)requiring the discovery and production of documents;(c)issuing commissions for the examination of witnesses;(d)such other matters as may be prescribed.
