(2)The candidate who was declared failed initially in the Qualifying Examination, but later on declared passed after rechecking of marks by the Board or University, such candidate shall, notwithstanding any time limit prescribed, be allowed to apply for the admission, provided he produces a letter to that effect issued by the competent authority or the corrected mark sheet issued by the Board or University, within seven days of the receipt of letter or, as the case may be, corrected mark-sheet. In such case he shall be placed at an appropriate order in the merit list.
