36. Acquisition of land made permanently unfit for cultivation. -
When any such land is rendered permanently unfit for cultivation by any such act as aforesaid, the [State Government] [Words substituted by the Government of India (Adaptation of Indian Laws) Order. 1937 and the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950, respectively.] shall, upon application for that purpose made by the owner thereof, acquire such lands under the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act, 1870, or other law for the time being in force for the acquisition of land for public purpose.
