(1)When, under the provisions of this Act, any person is required, or is liable, to execute any work in relation to water-supply, drainage and sewerage within the municipal area, the Chief Municipal Officer may, in accordance with the provisions of this Act and the Regulations made thereunder, cause such work to be executed after giving such person an opportunity to executing such work within such time as may be specified by him for this purpose.
