Section 357(5) in The Chhattisgarh Municipalities Act, 1961
(5)In making any bye-law the Council may direct that a breach thereof shall be punishable with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees, and where the breach is a continuing breach with further fine which may extend to five rupees for every day after the first during which the breach is proved to have been persisted in.
