(1)The Government of Maharashtra, for the time being shall be the Chancellor.(2)The Chancellor shall, by virtue of his office, be the head of the University and the President of the Senate, and shall, when present, preside at the meetings of the Senate, and at any convocation of the University.(3)The Chancellor shall have such other powers as are or may be conferred on him by or under this Act or the Statutes.
