Section 19(5) in Sikkim Co-Operative Societies Act, 1978
(5)Where a society has not commenced business within six months of its registration or such further time as may be granted by the Registrar after its registration or has ceased to function or if the Registrar is satisfied, after making such enquiry as he thinks fit, that the society no longer has genuinely as its objects one or more of the objects specified in section 4 and that its registration ought in the interests of the general public to be cancelled, he shall make an order cancelling the registration of the society. The society shall from the date of such order of cancellation be deemed to be dissolved and shall cease to exist as a corporate body.
