Section 258 in Rajasthan Land Revenue (Land Records) Rules, 1957
258. New Rain-gauge.
- Applications by district officers for sanction to establish a new rain-gauge or transfer or abolish an existing one, should be submitted to the Board of Revenue. They should be accompanied by a map of the district showing the rain-gauge stations and should give detailed reasons for the proposals made. Before sanctioning a new gauge, the Board of Revenue should obtain the assent of the Director General of Observatories thereto.
