(1)On receipt of report about the recent marks of violence from the Medical Officer, the Superintendent shall carefully record the same. The Superintendent shall, if the prisoner so desires (and in any case may at his discretion) transmit the same to the District Magistrate together with prisoner's statement as to how the injuries were received.
