(12)If at any time upon representation made or otherwise, it appears to the Chancellor that the Vice-Chancellor-(a)has made default in performing any duty imposed on him by or under this Act; or(b)has acted in a manner prejudicial to the interest of the private university; or(c)is incapable of managing the affairs of the private university, the Chancellor may, notwithstanding the fact that the term of office of Vice-Chancellor has not expired, by an order in writing stating the reasons therein require the Vice-Chancellor to relinquish his office from such date as may be specified in the order.
