The following were present Appellant : Mr. Pravesh Kumar Kanojia;
Respondent : Mr. Ashok Gupta, Public Information Officer & SDM (Civil Lines);
The Appellant is seeking information about the name of the owner of Khasra no. 431 at Civil Lines Station. The PIO has provided the information and the papers relating to this where it is evident that in 1961-61 the Jamabandi shows the name of the owner as Baptist Mission resident of Ludlow Road, Delhi. In 1978-79 Jamabandi shows the name as Bersheet Mission resident of Ludlow Castle Road, Delhi. Subsequently the Jamabandi shows that the name has been corrected on 03/12/2008 on the basis of the entry in the year 1961-62 to Baptist Mission resident of Ludlow Road, Delhi.
The PIO has given photocopies of these records to the Appellant and confirms that there are no other documents based on which the name had been changed on 03/12/2008.
The Appellant wants to know the name of the owner as on date in the record.
Decision:
The Appeal is allowed.
The Commission directs the PIO to give the copy of the latest Jamabandi and Khasra Girdawri of Khasra no. 431 to the Appellant before 30 November 2010. This decision is announced in open chamber.
Notice of this decision be given free of cost to the parties. Any information in compliance with this Order will be provided free of cost as per Section 7(6) of RTI Act.
