Section 75(1) in The Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University Act, 1989
(1)The University and the recognised institutions shall take into consideration, consistently with the maintenance of teaching standards and efficiency of administration, the claims of the members of the Scheduled Castes [Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Classes] [These words were substituted for the words 'and Scheduled Tribes' by Maharashtra 7 of 1993, Section 22(a)(i).] in making appointments to teaching and non-teaching posts under their respective control; and the University shall make the necessary Statutes for reservation of adequate number of posts for members of such Castes [Tribes and Classes] [These words were substituted for the words 'and Tribes' by Maharashtra 7 of 1993, Section 22(a)(ii).] in the University and recognised institutions.
