Section 39(1) in Karnataka Agricultural Produce Marketing Act 1966
(1)The term of office of the members of a market committee shall commence on the date immediately after the expiry of the term of office of the out-going members of the market committee [or on the date of first meeting convened under sub-section (2) of section 41 for election of Chairman and Vice-Chairman ] [Substituted by Act 13 of 2002 w.e.f. 8.10.1996] whichever is later.
