18. Punishment for non-registration.
- Whoever uses after the expiry of the period prescribed under sub-section (1) of section 17 any weight or measure in any transaction or for industrial production or for protection shall, unless he is registered in accordance with the provisions of this Chapter, be punishable with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees, and for the second or subsequent offence, with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine, or with both.Chapter-VI Manufacture, repair or sale of weights or measures.
