Instant writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to take a decision on the representation dated 05.05.2015 (Annexure P/4) of the petitioner and to release the entire outstanding payments to the petitioner with interest @ 24% per annum within a specified period.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has made a representation dated 05.05.2015 (Annexure P/4) to the Executive Officer, Municipal Council, Malout. He further submits that petitioner VIRENDER KUMAR 2015.11.05 17:36 also wants to make representation to the higher authorities including I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document C.W.P. No. 23473 of 2015 -2- Director and Secretary of the Department concerned.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and after perusing the paper-book, however, without commenting on merits of the case, instant petition is disposed of, without issuing notice to the respondents, with liberty to the petitioner to move representation as prayed for, which the authorities will look into and take appropriate action in accordance with law, preferably within a period of two months from the date of filing of representation.
