Section 8(1) in Tamil Nadu Essential Articles Control and Requisitioning Act, 1949
(1)The [State] [This word was substituted for the word 'Provincial' by the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950.] Government may, by notified order, authorize any officer or authority subordinate to the [State] [This word was substituted for the word 'Provincial' by the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950.] Government, to exercise any one or more of the powers vested in them by or under this Act except the power mentioned in section 19, in relation to such matters and subject to such restrictions and conditions, if any, as may be specified in the order.
