Section 2(a) in Karnataka Silkworm Seed Cocoon and Silk Yarn (Regulation of Production, Supply, Distribution and Sale) Act, 1959
(a)"cocoon" means cocoon produced by [mulberry, tassar, muga and eri silkworms] [Substituted by Act 12 of 1997 w.e.f. 6.1.1997.], either green or stifled, dried or in any other state or condition, but shall not include pierced cocoon;
