(2)(a)A children's court shall consist of a Bench of as many Magistrates as the State Government may declare, out of which one shall be designated as the Principal Judicial Magistrate. Each of such Bench shall be vested with the powers of the first class Magistrate under Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 (Act 2 of 1974).(b)The Children's Court will be assisted by a panel of three qualified honorary social workers as prescribed under rules, of whom at least one should be a woman and one member of the Scheduled Caste or the Scheduled Tribe.
