SHRI SIRAJUDDIN AJMAL (BARPETA): Every year, flood and erosion are causing havoc in upper Assam, Barpeta, Dubri and Walmada. Sir, I have tried to meet Kumari Uma Bharti several times and requested for Rs. 1000 crore for flood mitigation but she has sanctioned only Rs. 19 crore. Since the last four months, I have been trying to meet the hon. Prime Minister for this very serious problem. I am not getting any opportunity for it.
May I request through your office that Rs. 1000 crore may be sanctioned for flood mitigatin in Assam.
