(2)Whenever a poll is adjourned under sub-rule (1), the returning officer shall immediately report the circumstances to the Commissioner, Gurdwara Elections, and shall as soon as may be with the approval of the Commissioner, Gurdwara Elections, appoint the day on which the poll shall recommence and fix the hours during which the poll will be taken and the votes cast at that polling station shall not be counted until such adjourned poll shall have been completed :Provided that no adjourned poll shall be taken if the difference between the votes secured by the two candidates who have obtained the largest number of votes is more than the total number of voters entitled to vote at such a polling station.
