/598In the exercise of the powers conferred by section 87 of the Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration and Protection) Act, 1999 (48 of 1999), the Central Government makes the following rules, namely:-| Brought into force on 15.9.2003 as the Act has been enforced with effect from 15.9.2003 vide S.O. 1051(E), dated 15.9.2003, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3(ii), Sl.
