612. [ Penalty for offences not otherwise provided for. [Substituted by Act No.28 of 2005.]
- Whoever does any act in contravention of any of the provisions of this Act, or of any rule, notification or order made, issued or passed, thereunder and not otherwise provided for in this Act shall, on conviction be punished with imprisonment which may extend to two years or and with fine which may extend to two thousand rupees or with both.]Offences other than electoral offences.
