Section 39(1)(l) in The Uttarakhand Police Act, 2007

(l)to collect intelligence reports, relating to matters affecting public peace, and all kinds of crimes, including social offences and other matters relating to national security and disseminate the same to all such agencies as may be prescribed, besides act ing on it themselves.
